A Message from the NFL Alumni Philadelphia Chapter
On behalf of the NFL Alumni Association – Philadelphia Chapter, we hope you and your families are doing well during this time of uncertainty. Given the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic and recommendations by the CDC to avoid large gatherings as a precautionary measure to prevent the further spread of the disease, we have decided that the best course of action is to postpone several of our fundraising events. We have many events planned that serve as fundraisers for our Caring for Kids programs and services. However, as we continue to monitor the situation our first obligation is to protect the safety of our community and to conform to the guidelines presented by the CDC and the guidelines provided by each venue hosting our events. Therefore, our next few events will be postponed. These include:
March 20th - "Players Helping Players"
March 28th - "Men's Leadership Conference"
April 4th - "Let's Talk" Breakfast Workshop
April 23rd - Taste of Philadelphia & Draft Party
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you understand our decision to postpone these events. We will alert all guests of new dates and times when it is deemed appropriate. Thank you for understanding. For up to the minute information about our chapter and other scheduled events, please join our mailing list.
Founded in 1967, the National Football League Alumni Association is the most well-known and well-respected retired player organization. A non-profit organization comprised mainly of retired National Football League players, coaches, professionals, cheerleaders, spouse and associate members. The focus of NFL Alumni is to serve, assist, and inform players in their post-NFL lives. The Association offers a variety of medical, financial, educational, and social programs to keep members and their families healthy, productive and connected.
MISSION & VISION
NFL Alumni also has a traditional mission of “Caring for Kids” across the country. Player alumni give back in their local communities by raising funds for youth-related charities through their 35 regional chapters. It is a tradition that has existed for more than 50 years. Alumni support typically raises more than $5 million dollars for worthwhile causes.
Whether you played football or worked to make our game possible, you can join our elite membership as a Player, Spouse, Professional, Associate or Cheerleader.
NFL Alumni Association provides you and your family with valuable resources, connects you with fellow NFL Alumni, and creates opportunities for you to help your community.
MEMBERS ARE SAYING
CARING FOR KIDS
Members of the NFL Alumni have worked to fulfill the organizations stated mission of Caring for Kids. A 501 (C) (3), NFL Alumni, Inc. carries out its mission by actively raising funds for youth-oriented charitable causes and engaging hands-on service to foster the development of our youth.
Chartered in 1967, the organization was formed to address such player-welfare issues as pension benefits. As the NFL became more active in this area, the NFL Alumni restructured in 1977 into a non-profit charitable and education association.
Whether they are at work, playing in a charity golf classic or visiting hospitals, NFL Alumni demonstrates a sense of community and Caring for Kids.
